Hi, I'm Katie Dooley, the maker behind KTD Ceramics.

I create wheel-thrown pottery meant to be used and enjoyed - not only by your hands, but your eyes, as well. Each piece is thrown, trimmed, carved, and glazed by hand, which means no two are exactly alike. I pay attention to the details that matter when a piece is being used, from the purposeful dents in an oil bottle that make it easy to hold, to the shape and position of a handle.

Whether it’s a particular mug that you reach for in the mornings, a serving bowl that’s always on your table, or a vase filled with fresh flowers, my hope is that my pots become part of your everyday life. One of the most meaningful things that I hear as a potter, is that a piece I’ve made has become someone’s favorite.
